“Although the College has never invested in HEI properties, and has no plans to do so, we do not believe that a blanket statement that we will never do so offers the kind of meaningful change you are looking for in HEI’s policies. You might instead wish to identify those institutions or entities that currently have a relationship with HEI and work with them towards common goals. Swarthmore firmly believes that being active shareholders, and engaging in dialogue with those with whom we may disagree, is the more effective path to creating lasting change.”
